Welcome to Financial Peace of Mind
Para Wealth Advisors was founded on the principals of trust, transparency, and authenticity. Derived from the Greek prefix, Para means beside or alongside and reflects our own process of coming alongside clients, inspiring a clear and confident life-wealth journey.
We believe when life changes, money changes, and when money changes, life changes. Whether planned or sudden, these changes can be stressful, complex, and challenging. As advocates, we are by your side, helping you manage emotions and make sound financial decisions. Our process and experience will guide you through life events with clarity and peace of mind.
We are an independent fee-based wealth management firm, as well as a fiduciary. Our independence and the fiduciary standard ensure your needs and interests are placed ahead of all others.
Our team is professional, yet approachable. We are great listeners and create a comfortable environment to explore what is most important to you. Understanding your goals, priorities and dreams, as well as the things in your life that cause stress and fear, is the foundation of our planning process.
Do I have enough? Could I outlive my assets? How do I replace my paycheck? When should I start social security? These are common questions we hear and incorporate into our retirement planning process. In addition to the technical, and strategy-side, of the retirement transition, we also explore the personal side. How are you going to spend your time? Where will you find purpose and passion in this next stage of life?
We customize deeply diversified portfolios, strategically allocating funds across asset classes, styles and managers. Goals, time horizon and risk tolerance are incorporated into portfolio design, as well as the utilization of both active and passive managers. Monitoring, rebalancing and tactical adjustments are part of our ongoing investment management process.
Are you managing aging parents’ health and or financial well-being issues? Do you want to save and invest for your child’s or grandchild’s education? Interested in strategies to transfer wealth efficiently to the next generation? These are some of the multi-generational planning questions and conversations we enjoy exploring.
When life changes, money changes. Major life events, such as an inheritance, loss of a loved one, divorce, career change, and sale of a business, are stressful and have financial impacts. We have process and expertise to help you navigate the change, manage emotions, understand your choices and make sound financial decisions.
We work with you and estate planning experts to ensure your wishes match your estate planning documents. Wills, Trusts, healthcare directives, power of attorney, charitable giving, family gifting, tax efficient generational wealth transfer are all areas we explore, engage in meaningful conversation and work with you and other professionals on implementation.
Understanding how life insurance, health, disability and long-term care insurance fits into your overall plan is important. What exposures exist? Are you comfortable with them? Is there a more cost-effective way to cover this risk?

A third-generation small business owner, Stacy was raised in a culture of working hard, setting goals, and creating a plan to achieve them. That culture and work ethic has carried over to all areas of her personal and professional life.
Stacy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Seattle Pacific University (SPU). In addition to graduating with honors on a three-year track, she was a member of the SPU women’s basketball team that made their first Elite 8 national tournament appearance.
Stacy is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Financial Transitionist Institute. Educating and empowering people to make better financial decisions continues to fuel Stacy’s purpose and passion as a financial planner. After 23 years in wealth management, Stacy left her former firm and founded Para Wealth Advisors with intention and vision. Para is built on the principles of trust, transparency and authenticity. Derived from the Greek prefix, Para, means beside or alongside. Para represents the process of coming alongside clients, offering guidance, education and solutions on their life-wealth journey.
Stacy’s expertise is in the following life events: retirement transition, loss of a loved one, selling a business, navigating divorce, managing an inheritance and career change. Whether planned for, or unexpected, a major life change is often overwhelming and stressful. Through her specialized training and experience, Stacy’s process of understanding client goals and priorities, educating on choices and trade-off’s, creating a plan and acting as a sounding board are all components of a successful life transition. The depth of this work has led to long lasting relationships, and often relationships with multiple generations within the same family, which is deeply rewarding.
Born and raised in the Northwest, Stacy is a sports and outdoors enthusiast. She enjoys running, golf, snow and water sports with her family and friends.
In joining Para Wealth Advisors, I am embracing the opportunity to continue working in an independent and steadfast personal relationship with my clients. The word “para” comes from Greek origins and the meaning is “side by side” which is the essence of my working relationships – to walk beside my clients and guide them in achieving their financial goals.
Prior to joining Para Wealth Advisors, I was an Investment Advisor at Security First Advisors over five years until October 2022. During this time I worked with private individuals and families and greatly enjoyed the opportunity to serve them as their trusted financial advisor and managing their investment assets. Leading up to my time at Security First Advisors, I was a Senior VP, Portfolio Manager at U.S. Trust for over six years and managed $525 million in client assets. In May 2017, I decided to build upon the experience of working with high-net worth families in a large private banking & trust environment and switched gears to an independent venue where I was able to focus upon the appropriate balance of how to best serve clients.
I enjoy learning a client’s “story” – being an active listener is a refined skill and truly understanding someone’s values, goals and risk appetite evolves over time. It’s rewarding to be a team member in their life journey and provide the proper perspective on financial issues and an honor to educate and coach them along the way to make choices which enable them to achieve their definition of success. Helping to craft and implement a realistic investment strategy to achieve a definitive goal is the hallmark of my work with clients. Understanding it’s a dynamic process and knowing you have a thoughtful partner in navigating the journey is what energizes my client relationships.
I bring an unusual expertise to the table from a 16-year history of institutional equity research and sales at investment banking firms, which fostered an exceptional perspective of how financial markets operate, and worked with some of the most prominent equity specialists in the country. Altogether, having over 35 years dedicated to wealth management and equity research has forged a skill-set well suited to prudently managing client assets at Para Wealth Advisors.
I consider myself a true Oregon native, having been raised in the Portland area and earned my B.S. degree in Economics, with honors, from Lewis & Clark College in 1984 and received the A.B. Smith Memorial Scholarship. I also served as a visiting lecturer in Economics at Lewis & Clark College in 1989. Earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 1989 and later held the NASD Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses while working at Black & Company and D. A. Davidson & Co. before joining U.S. Trust in 2010. In 2014, my dedication and performance in building client relationships as a Portfolio Manager was recognized with the President’s Award at U.S. Trust. I am also a former member of the Board of Directors for the Portland Society of Financial Analysts and a past member of their Investment Committee as well.
As for personal pursuits, I like to be active – preferably outdoors cycling and skiing. If the weather isn’t cooperating, I enjoy cooking for family and friends, reading a good novel or listening to music (having departed from the path of a music major in my early years).
April Figone brings over 28 years of financial industry experience on the institutional side. She started her career with Drexel Burnham Lambert in Beverly Hills and Libra Investments, Inc. in Los Angeles, where she held the NASD Series 7, 8 and 63 licenses. Since then, she has worked at the nexus of equity capital markets, investment banking, and the syndicate team. Her experience includes creating and growing the Corporate Access team at D.A. Davidson, and managing industry conferences, non-deal roadshows, and analysts’ marketing trips from conception to fruition, among other responsibilities.
As a lifelong and interdisciplinary learner, April holds a Bachelor degree from UC Santa Barbara and a yoga teacher certification from Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in Grass Valley, CA. She is a California girl at heart and an Oregon resident of nearly 30 years who loves to explore Portland neighborhoods by foot or bike, stopping off at yard sales along the way. April happily participates in anything yoga-related, and has most recently enjoyed traveling to Australia, Greece, France, Indonesia, and wherever her daughters take her.
Courtney has a talent for keeping things running smoothly, which is what she does in her role at Para Wealth Advisors. With over a decade in the financial industry and a wealth of customer service experience, she combines deep expertise with a genuine passion for supporting clients and colleagues.
Known for her approachable style and attention to detail, Courtney is dedicated to creating a seamless, positive experience for everyone she works with. She has a knack for process improvement, and her ability to navigate the complexities of multiple custodians helps the team deliver consistent, high-quality service.
She holds a B.A. in Business Management with a minor in Music Performance from Pacific University, where she performed as the flute soloist in the Wind Ensemble.
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Courtney spent time exploring different places after college before finding the right place to call home. She settled in the Pacific Northwest in 2014 and has embraced the region’s natural beauty and welcoming spirit ever since—rain and all.
Outside the office, she’s an avid gym-goer, enjoys reading, and loves catching up with friends and family, preferably over great food and plenty of laughter.
